حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَأَبُو مُوسَى جَالِسَيْنِ وَهُمَا يَتَذَاكَرَانِ الْحَدِيثَ فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّامٌ يُرْفَعُ فِيهَا الْعِلْمُ وَيَنْزِلُ فِيهَا الْجَهْلُ وَيَكْثُرُ فِيهَا الْهَرْجُ وَالْهَرْجُ الْقَتْلُ.
English Translation
Muhammad b. Ubayd narrated to us: al-A'mash narrated to us, from Shaqiq, who said: Abdullah and Abu Musa were sitting together, discussing hadith, and Abu Musa said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Before the Hour there will be days in which knowledge will be lifted up and ignorance will descend, and al-harj will increase" - and al-harj is killing.
