English Translation
Aswad narrated to us: Sharik narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Khaythamah, from Ibn Ma’qil, from Adi ibn Hatim, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Guard yourselves against the Fire" — and he turned his face aside as though we thought he was looking at it. Then he said, "Guard yourselves against the Fire," and turned his face aside. He said it twice or three times: "Guard yourselves against the Fire, even with half a date; and if you cannot find that, then with a good word."
