حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ وَأَبِي عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ كَمْ غَزَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ وَغَزَوْتُ مَعَهُ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ وَسَبَقَنِي بِغَزَاتَيْنِ.
English Translation
Waki' told us: Isra'il and my father told us, from Abu Ishaq, who said: I asked Zayd ibn Arqam how many military campaigns the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, undertook. He said: Nineteen, and I campaigned with him in seventeen, and he preceded me by two campaigns.
