حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَكُونُ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِهِمْ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ بِالْمَعَاصِي هُمْ أَعَزُّ مِنْهُ وَأَمْنَعُ لَمْ يُغَيِّرُوا عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا أَصَابَهُمْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْهُ بِعِقَابٍ.
English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun told us: Sharik ibn Abdullah informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Mundhir ibn Jarir, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There is no people among whom there is one who commits acts of disobedience, who is stronger and more able to prevent it than him, and they do not change it against him, except that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will afflict them with punishment from Him."
