حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى يَقُولُ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ اعْتَمَرَ فَطَافَ وَطُفْنَا مَعَهُ وَصَلَّى وَصَلَّيْنَا مَعَهُ وَسَعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَكُنَّا نَسْتُرُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ لَا يُصِيبُهُ أَحَدٌ بِشَيْءٍ.
English Translation
Ya'la narrated to us, Isma'il narrated to us, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa say: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he performed 'Umrah. He circumambulated and we circumambulated with him, and he prayed and we prayed with him, and he went between Safa and Marwah, and we used to shield him from the people of Makkah so that no one would harm him with anything.
