حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدَهُ الدُّبَّاءُ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا قَالَ نُكَثِّرُ بِهِ طَعَامَنَا.
English Translation
Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah told us, from Isma'il - that is, Ibn Abi Khalid - from Hakim ibn Jabir, from his father, who said: I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and there was gourd/squash with him. I said, "What is this?" He said, "We increase our food with it."
