حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أُخْبِرْتُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ حَدَّثَنِي مُرَقِّعُ بْنُ صَيْفِيٍّ التَّمِيمِيُّ شَهِدَ عَلَى جَدِّهِ رِيَاحِ بْنِ رُبَيِّعٍ الْحَنْظَلِيِّ الْكَاتِبِ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَ ثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْمُرَقِّعُ بْنُ صَيْفِيٍّ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رِيَاحِ بْنِ رُبَيِّعٍ أَخِي حَنْظَلَةَ الْكَاتِبِ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُرَقِّعُ بْنُ صَيْفِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي رِيَاحُ بْنُ رُبَيِّعٍ أَخِي حَنْظَلَةَ الْكَاتِبِ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ عَلَى مُقَدِّمَتِهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَذَكَرَ رِيَاحًا وَأَصْلَهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.
English Translation
Abdur-Razzaq told us, Ibn Jurayj informed us: I was informed, on the authority of Abu al-Zinad - Muraqqi' b. Sayfi al-Tamimi told me, testifying regarding his grandfather Riyah b. Rubay' al-Hanzali al-Katib, that he informed him that he went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him - and he mentioned the like of the hadith of Ibn Abi al-Zinad. [Another chain]: Abu Amir told us, he said: al-Mughira b. Abdur-Rahman told us from Abu al-Zinad, who said: Muraqqi' b. Sayfi informed me from his grandfather Riyah b. Rubay', brother of Hanzala al-Katib, that he informed him that he went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he mentioned the hadith. [Another chain]: Sa'id b. Mansur told us, he said: al-Mughira b. Abdur-Rahman told us from Abu al-Zinad, who said: Muraqqi' b. Sayfi told me, he said: my grandfather Riyah b. Rubay', brother of Hanzala al-Katib, told me that he went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on a military expedition with Khalid b. al-Walid at its vanguard - and he mentioned Riyah and his lineage, and mentioned the hadith.
