English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun told us, Abu al-Ashhab informed us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Tarafa, that his grandfather Arfaja had his nose struck off on the Day of al-Kulab during the Age of Ignorance, so he made himself a nose of silver, but it developed a foul smell on him, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded him to make himself a nose of gold. Yazid said: It was said to Abu al-Ashhab, "Did you meet Abd al-Rahman, his grandson?" He said, "Yes."
