حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي هَنَاتٌ وَهَنَاتٌ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَمَنْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ يُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُمْ جَمِيعٌ فَاقْتُلُوهُ كَائِنًا مَنْ كَانَ مِنْ النَّاسِ.
English Translation
Abu al-Nadr told us: Shayban told us, from Ziyad bin Ilaqah, from Arfajah bin Shurayh al-Aslami, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There will be after me troubles and troubles" - and he raised his hands - "so whoever you see trying to divide the nation of Muhammad while they are united, kill him, whoever he may be among the people."
