English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah and Hajjaj told us - Hajjaj said: Shu'bah told me - he said: I heard Qatadah narrate from Abu Nadrah - Hajjaj said: I heard Abu Nadrah - from Qays ibn Abbad, who said: I said to Ammar: "Do you consider your fighting a personal opinion you formed yourselves" - Hajjaj said: "Do you consider this matter, meaning their fighting, a personal opinion you formed, for opinion may err or be right, or was it a covenant that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entrusted to you?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not entrust us with anything he did not entrust to all people generally," and he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'In my nation'" - Shu'bah said, and he thinks he said: "Hudhayfah told me: 'In my nation there are twelve hypocrites'" - he said: "They will not enter Paradise, nor will they find its scent, until a camel passes through the eye of a needle. Eight of them will be dealt with by the abscess - a flame of fire that appears in their shoulder-blades until it emerges in their chests."
