حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ جُنْدُبٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ الْفَرَطُ الَّذِي يَسْبِقُ.
English Translation
Sufyan ibn Uyaynah told us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr - who heard it from Jundub - that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am your forerunner at the Basin." Sufyan said: "al-Farat is the one who goes ahead."
