حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبَ بْنَ سُفْيَانَ الْعَلَقِيَّ حَيٌّ مِنْ بَجِيلَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْأَضْحَى عَلَى قَوْمٍ قَدْ ذَبَحُوا أَوْ نَحَرُوا أَوْ قَوْمٍ لَمْ يَذْبَحُوا أَوْ لَمْ يَنْحَرُوا فَقَالَ مَنْ ذَبَحَ أَوْ نَحَرَ قَبْلَ صَلَاتِنَا فَلْيُعِدْ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَذْبَحْ أَوْ يَنْحَرْ فَلْيَذْبَحْ أَوْ يَنْحَرْ بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ.
English Translation
Waki' told us: Sufyan and Abd al-Rahman told us, from Sufyan, from al-Aswad ibn Qays al-Abdi, who said: I heard Jundub ibn Sufyan al-Alaqi - of the tribe of Bajilah - say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said - and Abd al-Rahman said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of sacrifice, upon people who had already slaughtered or offered sacrifice, and people who had not yet slaughtered or offered sacrifice, and he said: "Whoever slaughtered or sacrificed before our prayer, let him repeat it; and whoever has not slaughtered or sacrificed, let him slaughter or sacrifice in the name of Allah."
