حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ إِبْهَامَاهُ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ.
English Translation
Asbat ibn Muhammad told us, Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad told us, from Abdur-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, opened the prayer, he would raise his hands until his thumbs were level with his ears.
