English Translation
Yahya bin Zakariyya narrated to us: Abu Ya'qub al-Thaqafi narrated to us: Yunus bin 'Ubayd, the freed slave of Muhammad bin al-Qasim, narrated to me: Muhammad bin al-Qasim sent me to al-Bara' bin 'Azib to ask him about the banner of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, what it was like. He said: It was black, square, made of striped cloth (namira).
