حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَن سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَن الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا اضْطَجَعَ الرَّجُلُ فَتَوَسَّدَ يَمِينَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ وَأَلْجَأْتُ إِلَيْكَ ظَهْرِي وَوَجَّهْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَجْهِي رَهْبَةً مِنْكَ وَرَغْبَةً إِلَيْكَ لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ وَمَاتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ بُنِيَ لَهُ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَوْ بُوِّئَ لَهُ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ.
English Translation
'Ali b. 'Asim told us, Husayn b. 'Abd al-Rahman informed us, from Sa'd b. 'Ubaydah, from al-Bara' b. 'Azib, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: When a man lies down and rests his head on his right side, then says: O Allah, I submit myself to You, and I entrust my affair to You, and I turn my back to You for refuge, and I direct my face to You, in fear of You and hope in You; there is no refuge and no escape from You except to You; I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent - and he dies upon that, a house is built for him in Paradise, or a dwelling is prepared for him in Paradise.
