حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ كَانَ فِيمَا اشْتَرَطَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ بِسِلَاحٍ إِلَّا سِلَاحٍ فِي قِرَابٍ.
English Translation
Hushaym told us: al-Hajjaj informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: Among the conditions that the people of Mecca imposed on the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was that none of his companions would enter it bearing weapons except weapons in a sheath.
