حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ بِالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ قَالَ وَمَا سَمِعْتُ إِنْسَانًا أَحْسَنَ قِرَاءَةً مِنْهُ.
English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun told us: Mis'ar informed us, from Adi ibn Thabit, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recite "By the fig and the olive" in the night prayer, and I never heard anyone recite more beautifully than him.
