حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَنَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ النَّهْمِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ تَسْلَمُوا وَالْأَشَرَةُ أَشَرُّ.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah told us: Qanan ibn Abd Allah al-Nahmi told us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Awsajah, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Spread the greeting of peace and you will be safe, for excessive revelry is evil."
