حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ اهْجُ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَإِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ مَعَكَ.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah told us: al-Shaybani told us, from Adi ibn Thabit, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Hassan ibn Thabit, "Satirize the polytheists, for Gabriel is with you."
