English Translation
Waki' told us: al-A'mash told us, from Abu Wa'il, from Qays b. Abi Gharaza, who said: We used to sell goods by the measure in Madina, and we used to call ourselves brokers. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us and named us with a name better than the one we called ourselves, saying: "O company of merchants, indeed this trade is attended by idle talk and false swearing, so mix it with charity."
