English Translation

Hasan b. Musa told us: Hammad b. Salama told us, from Dawud, from al-Sha'bi, from Alqama, that a man married a woman, and her husband died before consummating the marriage with her and without having fixed a dower for her. Abdullah was asked about it and said, "She shall have the dower of women like her, with neither reduction nor excess, and she has the inheritance, and she must observe the waiting period." Then Abu Sinan al-Ashja'i stood up among a group from Ashja', and they said, "We testify that you have judged in it with the judgment of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding Birwa bint Washiq." Abdullah b. Muhammad b.
