حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةِ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ انْكَسَفَتْ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْكَعُ وَيَسْجُدُ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ مِثْلَ صَلَاتِنَا.
English Translation
Muhammad b. Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us - and Hajjaj told us: Shu'ba told us, from Asim al-Ahwal, from Abu Qilaba, from al-Nu'man b. Bashir, who said: The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, so he prayed, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would bow and prostrate - Hajjaj said: like our prayer.
