حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ يَخْطُبُ وَعَلَيْهِ خَمِيصَةٌ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ النَّارَ فَلَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَوْضِعَ كَذَا وَكَذَا سَمِعَ صَوْتَهُ.
English Translation
Sulayman ibn Da'ud narrated to us: Shu'bah informed us, from Simak, who said: I heard al-Nu'man delivering a sermon, wearing a striped cloak of his, and he said: Indeed I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, deliver a sermon, saying: I have warned you of the Fire - if a man were at such and such a place, he would hear its sound.
