حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْ آلِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ رَفَعَ بَصَرَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ خَفَضَ حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ قَدْ حَدَثَ فِي السَّمَاءِ شَيْءٌ فَقَالَ أَلَا إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ بَعْدِي أُمَرَاءُ يَكْذِبُونَ وَيَظْلِمُونَ فَمَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَمَالَأَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَا أَنَا مِنْهُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُمَالِئْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ أَلَا وَإِنَّ دَمَ الْمُسْلِمِ كَفَّارَتُهُ أَلَا وَإِنَّ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ هُنَّ الْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Yazid narrated to us, from al-Awwam, who said: A man of the Ansar, of the family of al-Nu'man ibn Bashir, narrated to me, from al-Nu'man ibn Bashir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us while we were in the mosque after the Isha prayer. He raised his gaze to the sky, then lowered it, until we thought that something had happened in the heavens. Then he said: Indeed, after me there will be rulers who lie and who oppress; whoever believes their lies and assists them in their oppression is not of me, and I am not of him; and whoever does not believe their lies and does not assist them in their oppression is of me, and I am of him. Indeed, the blood of a Muslim is expiation for it (a grave matter). Indeed, SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar are the enduring righteous deeds.
