Abdur-Razzaq narrated to us: Isra'il narrated to us: Simak ibn Harb narrated to us, from Murayy ibn Qatari, from Adi ibn Hatim, who said: I asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about game which I hunt. He said: Let the blood flow with whatever you wish, mention the name of Allah, and eat. Yunus narrated to us: Hammad, that is, Ibn Zayd, narrated to us: Ayyub informed us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Ubaydah ibn Hudhayfah, from a man who said: I used to ask people about the hadith of Adi ibn Hatim while he was beside me and I did not ask him, so I went to him and asked him. He said: Yes, when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent, at the time he was sent - and he mentioned the hadith. Muhammad ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, from Ibn Awn, from Muhammad, from Ibn Hudhayfah, who said: I used to narrate a hadith about Adi ibn Hatim. I said: This is Adi ibn Hatim in the vicinity of Kufa - if only I went to him and became the one who heard it from him myself. So I went to him and said: I used to have a hadith narrated to me about you, and I wanted to be the one who hears it from you. He said: When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent, I fled until I was in the farthest part of Byzantine territory - and he mentioned the hadith.
