English Translation
Abu al-Nadr told us, Shayban told us, from Ziyad ibn Ilaqah, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: The sun was eclipsed in the time of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, on the day Ibrahim died, and people said, "It is eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The sun and the moon are a sign among the signs of God; they are not eclipsed for anyone's death or life. So when you see that, pray and call upon God, mighty and majestic."
