حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ وَقَدْ كُنْتُ حَفِظْتُ مِنْ كَثِيرٍ مِنْ عُلَمَائِنَا بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ كَانَ يَرْوِي عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ.
English Translation
Ya'qub told us, my father told us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: I had memorized from many of our scholars in Medina that Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazm used to narrate hadiths from al-Mughirah, among them that he told him that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever washes a dead body should perform ghusl."
