English Translation

Yahya told us from Sayf who said: I heard Mujahid say, Ibn Abi Layla told me, Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah told me that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stopped by him at Hudaybiyyah - he said, and his head was shedding lice - and said, "Do your vermin trouble you?" He said, I said, "Yes." He said, "Then shave your head." He said, "Concerning me was revealed: 'And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head, let him ransom himself with fasting, charity, or a sacrifice.'" He said, So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded me and said, "Fast three days, or give charity of a faraq to be divided among six, or offer a sacrifice, whatever is easiest for you."
