حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَصِينٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْعَدَوِىِّ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ دَخَلَ وَنَحْنُ تِسْعَةٌ وَبَيْنَنَا وِسَادَةٌ مِنْ أَدَمٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي أُمَرَاءُ يَكْذِبُونَ وَيَظْلِمُونَ فَمَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكِذْبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ وَلَيْسَ بِوَارِدٍ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَيُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ وَهُوَ وَارِدٌ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us from Sufyan, Abu Hasin told me from al-Sha'bi from Asim al-Adawi from Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us - or entered upon us - while we were nine, and between us was a cushion of tanned leather. He said, "There will be after me rulers who lie and oppress. Whoever enters upon them and affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression is not of me, and I am not of him, and he will not come to me at the Basin. And whoever does not affirm their lies nor help them in their oppression, he is of me, and I am of him, and he will come to me at the Basin."
