حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ عَنْ مَوْلًى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَخٍ بَخٍ لِخَمْسٍ مَا أَثْقَلَهُنَّ فِي الْمِيزَانِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَالْوَلَدُ الصَّالِحُ يُتَوَفَّى فَيَحْتَسِبُهُ وَالِدُهُ وَقَالَ بَخٍ بَخٍ لِخَمْسٍ مَنْ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مُسْتَيْقِنًا بِهِنَّ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَبِالْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ وَبِالْبَعْثِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَالْحِسَابِ.
English Translation
'Affan narrated to us: Aban narrated to us: Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from Zayd, from Abu Sallam, from a freed servant of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'How excellent, how excellent are five things — how heavy they are in the balance: there is no god but Allah, and Allah is greatest, and glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and a righteous child who dies and whose parent seeks reward for him with Allah.' And he said: 'How excellent, how excellent are five things — whoever meets Allah, Mighty and Sublime, certain of them will enter Paradise: belief in Allah, the Last Day, Paradise, the Fire, the Resurrection after death, and the Reckoning.'
