حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْيَدُ الْمُعْطِيَةُ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar told us, from Simak ibn al-Fadl, from Urwah ibn Muhammad ibn Atiyyah, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "The giving hand is better than the withholding hand."
