English Translation
Ya'qub told us, my father told us, from Ibn Ishaq, he said: Ata' ibn Abi Rabah told me, from Safwan ibn Abdullah ibn Safwan, from his two paternal uncles Ya'la ibn Umayyah and Salamah ibn Umayyah, who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the expedition of Tabuk, and a companion of ours was with us. He fought with a man from the Muslims, and that man bit his forearm. He pulled his hand from the man's mouth, knocking out his front tooth. The man went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asking for compensation. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Does one of you go to his brother and bite him as a stallion bites, then come demanding compensation? There is no compensation for you." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, nullified it. Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Qatadah, from Ata' ibn Abi Rabah, from Ibn Ya'la, from Ya'la, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similar to the hadith of Qatadah from Zurarah from Imran about the one who was bitten by the other.
