English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah and Hajjaj told us — Hajjaj said, Shu'bah informed us — from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from Nasr ibn Abd al-Rahman, from his grandfather Mu'adh ibn Afra' al-Qurashi, that he circumambulated the House with Mu'adh ibn Afra' after the afternoon prayer or after dawn and did not pray. So I asked him, and he said the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There is no prayer after two prayers: after dawn until the sun rises, and after the afternoon prayer until the sun sets."
