حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُطِيعِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ أَخِي بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُطِيعٍ وَكَانَ اسْمُهُ الْعَاصِ فَسَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُطِيعًا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ هَؤُلَاءِ الرَّهْطِ بِمَكَّةَ يَقُولُ لَا تُغْزَى مَكَّةُ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْعَامِ أَبَدًا وَلَا يُقْتَلُ قُرَشِيٌّ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْعَامِ صَبْرًا أَبَدًا.
English Translation
Ya'qub narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Shu'bah ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Abi al-Safar, from Amir al-Sha'bi, from Abdullah ibn Muti' ibn al-Aswad, brother of Banu 'Adi ibn Ka'b, from his father Muti' — whose name had been al-'As, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, renamed him Muti' — who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he ordered the killing of that group of men at Makkah, say: 'Makkah will never be raided again after this year, and no Qurashi will ever be executed in cold blood after this year.'
