English Translation
Haytham ibn Kharijah told us: Isma'il ibn Ayyash informed us, from Aqil ibn Mudrik al-Sulami, from Luqman ibn Amir al-Wasabi, from Utbah ibn Abd al-Sulami, who said: 'I asked the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, for clothing, so he clothed me with two garments of coarse linen. And indeed I saw myself wearing them while being among the best-clothed of my companions.'
