حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ حَدَّثَنِي بَقِيَّةُ حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْعَنْ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ فَإِنَّهُمْ شَدِيدٌ بَأْسُهُمْ كَثِيرٌ عَدَدُهُمْ حَصِينَةٌ حُصُونُهُمْ فَقَالَ لَا ثُمَّ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَعْجَمِيِّينَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا مَرُّوا بِكُمْ يَسُوقُونَ نِسَاءَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ عَلَى عَوَاتِقِهِمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ.
English Translation
Hayw ibn Shurayh narrated to us, he said: Baqiyya narrated to me, he said: Bahir ibn Sa'd narrated to me, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, from Utbah ibn Abd, that he said: A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, curse the people of Yemen, for their might is severe, their numbers many, and their fortresses impregnable.' He said: 'No.' Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the non-Arabs, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'When they pass by you driving their women before them, carrying their sons upon their shoulders, they are of me and I am of them.'
