حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ مُوَرِّقٍ الْعِجْلِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ تُلُقِّيَ بِالصِّبْيَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ قَالَ وَإِنَّهُ قَدِمَ مَرَّةً مِنْ سَفَرٍ قَالَ فَسُبِقَ بِي إِلَيْهِ قَالَ فَحَمَلَنِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِأَحَدِ ابْنَيْ فَاطِمَةَ إِمَّا حَسَنٍ وَإِمَّا حُسَيْنٍ فَأَرْدَفَهُ خَلْفَهُ قَالَ فَدَخَلْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ ثَلَاثَةً عَلَى دَابَّةٍ.
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Ja'far said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) returned from a journey, he was met by the children of his household. Once he returned from a journey, and I was brought to him first. He placed me in front of him. Then one of the sons of Fatimah — either Hasan or Husayn — was brought, and he placed him behind him. So we entered Madinah — three on one mount.
