English Translation
Ubaydah ibn Humayd told us, Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib told me, from a man called Abdullah ibn Hafs, from Ya'la ibn Murrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw me while I was perfumed with khaluq, and he said to me, "O Ya'la, what is this khaluq? Do you have a wife?" He said, I said, "No." He said, "Then go and wash it off yourself, then wash it, then wash it, and do not do it again."
