حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ مِشْرَحَ بْنَ هَاعَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ أَرَقُّ قُلُوبًا وَأَلْيَنُ أَفْئِدَةً وَأَنْجَعُ طَاعَةً.
English Translation
Abu Abd al-Rahman told us, Haywah told us, Bakr ibn Amr informed us, that Mishrah ibn Ha'an informed him that he heard Uqbah ibn Amir say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: The people of Yemen are the most tender of heart, the softest of temperament, and the most receptive to obedience.
