حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ بَعْجَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسَمَ ضَحَايَا بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ فَأَصَابَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ جَذَعَةً فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ ضَحِّ بِهَا.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Hisham al-Dastuwa'i, who said: Yahya narrated to us, from Ba'jah ibn 'Abdullah, from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, distributed sacrificial animals among his companions, and 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir received a yearling goat. He asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about it, and he said, "Offer it as a sacrifice."
