English Translation
Abu al-Yaman narrated to us: Abu Bakr b. Abi Maryam narrated to us, who said: Al-Miqdam b. Ma'dikarib had a slave-girl who used to sell milk, and al-Miqdam would take the payment. It was said to him: "Glory be to Allah, do you sell milk and take the payment yourself?" He said: "Yes, and there is no harm in that. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'A time will surely come upon people when nothing will benefit except the dinar and the dirham.'"
