حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ زَيْدٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْمِقْدَامَ بْنَ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ يَقُولُ حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ أَشْيَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يُوشِكُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُكَذِّبَنِي وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ يُحَدَّثُ بِحَدِيثِي فَيَقُولُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَلَالٍ اسْتَحْلَلْنَاهُ وَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَرَامٍ حَرَّمْنَاهُ أَلَا وَإِنَّ مَا حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ.
English Translation
Abd al-Rahman and Zayd b. Hubab narrated to us: they said, Mu'awiya b. Salih narrated to us, from al-Hasan b. Jabir - Zayd said in his narration: al-Hasan b. Jabir narrated to me - who said: I heard al-Miqdam b. Ma'dikarib say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared certain things forbidden on the day of Khaybar, then said: "One of you is about to reject me as a liar while reclining on his couch, being told a hadith of mine, saying: 'Between us and you is the Book of Allah - whatever we find lawful in it, we take as lawful, and whatever we find unlawful in it, we take as unlawful.' Indeed, what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden is like what Allah has forbidden."
