حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نُعَيْمٍ الْمُجْمِرِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ فَقَالَ قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ وَقَرَأْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ.
English Translation
Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us, he said: Malik informed us, from Nu'aym al-Mujmir, from Muhammad - meaning Ibn Abdullah - from Abu Mas'ud, who said: It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, how should we send blessings upon you?" He said, "Say: O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim among all the worlds; indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious." And I read this hadith to Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from Nu'aym ibn Abdullah, that Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Zayd informed him, from Abu Mas'ud.
