حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ أخْبَرَهُ قَالَ قَصَّرْتُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِشْقَصٍ أَوْ قَالَ رَأَيْتُهُ يُقَصَّرُ عَنْهُ بِمِشْقَصٍ عِنْدَ الْمَرْوَةِ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us from Ibn Jurayj, who said: al-Hasan ibn Muslim narrated to me from Tawus: that Ibn 'Abbas informed him that Mu'awiya informed him, saying: 'I shortened the hair of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with an arrowhead,' or he said, 'I saw him being shortened with an arrowhead, at al-Marwa.'
