English Translation
He said: Muhammad ibn Kathir told us, he said: Sulayman ibn Kathir told us, from Husayn ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from his father, who said: The moon split in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and became two parts, one part over this mountain and one part over that mountain. So they said: Muhammad has bewitched us. Then they said: If he has bewitched us, he cannot bewitch all the people.
