حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ قُلْتُ وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالَ هُوَ فِي التِّسْعَةِ وَلَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أُسَمِّيَ الْعَاشِرَ سَمَّيْتُهُ قَالَ اهْتَزَّ حِرَاءٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَعُثْمَانُ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَسَعْدٌ وَأَنَا يَعْنِي سَعِيدًا نَفْسَهُ.
English Translation
Sa'id ibn Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl said: I bear witness that Ali is from the people of Paradise. I was asked why. He said: 'He is among the nine, and if I wished to name the tenth, I would.' He said: 'Hira shook, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Be still, O Hira! For there is no one upon you except a prophet, a truthful one, or a martyr.' They were: the Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali, Uthman, Talhah, al-Zubayr, Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, Sa'd, and myself — meaning Sa'id himself.'
