حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَقَالَ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آمُرَ أَصْحَابِي أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ.
English Translation
Sufyan ibn Uyaynah told us, from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr, from Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Bakr ibn al-Harith, from Khallad ibn al-Sa'ib ibn Khallad, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Jibril, peace be upon him, came to me and said: 'Command your companions to raise their voices in the talbiyah.'" And Sufyan said on one occasion: "Jibril, peace and blessings be upon him, came to me and commanded me to order my companions to raise their voices in the talbiyah."
