حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ سُئِلَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ فَقَالَ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ.
English Translation
Rawh told us: Sa'id told us, from Qatadah, from Mutarrif ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Shikhkhir, from his father, that he asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — or the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked — about a man who fasts continuously the whole year, and he said: He neither fasted nor broke his fast.
