قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ جَدُّهُ أَوْسُ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْسٍ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَيُومِئُ إِلَى نَعْلَيْهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَأْخُذُهُمَا فَيَنْتَعِلُهُمَا وَيُصَلِّي فِيهِمَا وَيَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ.
English Translation
He said, Bahz told us: Shu'ba told us: al-Nu'man ibn Salim told us, from a man whose grandfather was Aws ibn Abi Aws: that he used to pray and gesture toward his sandals while in prayer, so someone would take them and put them on him, and he would pray in them, saying, 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray in his sandals.'
