قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنُّعَيْمَانِ قَدْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَضَرَبُوهُ بِالْأَيْدِي وَالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ قَالَ فَكُنْتُ مِمَّنْ ضَرَبَهُ.
English Translation
He said: 'Abd al-Samad told us, he said: My father told us, he said: Ayyub told us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, who said: 'Uqbah ibn al-Harith told me, he said: An-Nu'ayman was brought to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, having drunk wine, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered those who were in the house, and they struck him with hands, palm-branches, and sandals. He said: I was among those who struck him.
